10/30/17 - Mater is doing great! Blindness isn't going to slow him down at all. It didn't take him long to figure out where everything is in the house. He can play with toys that jingle so he can find them. He also loves just snuggling by my side at night.
Update 09/18/17 - Unfortunately, Mater suffered a rare reaction to anesthesia during his neuter surgery. His heart stopped suddenly, but the vet staff was able to restart it fairly quickly. However, it is becoming clear that Mater suffered some impairment due to lack of oxygen. Mater currently appears to be blind and he's a bit unsteady on his feet. He is getting around very well though and is just as loving as ever. He's going to need some time for his brain to heal and for us to see what his limitations are really going to be.
June 2017 - Mater is pure and simple a stinker! He loves to run and play but also will sit in your lap for a good snuggle. He gets along well with adult cats as well.
Adoption fees cover core vaccines, microchip, and neuter. All cats and kittens have been combo tested for FIV & Feline Leukemia as well.
